| 1. A light recycler for use in a color projection system, comprising:
a reflective plate having at least one aperture formed therein to pass light from a light source, the reflective plate being
configured to reflect light reflected from a color wheel included in the color projection system; and
a substantially planar optical element array located at the aperture and configured to receive light passing through the aperture,
the optical element array including an optically transmissive substrate and a plurality of optical micro-elements formed in
the substrate.
