| 1. A lens barrel, comprising:
an optical system, the optical system including:
a first lens unit;
a second lens unit;
a first lens unit holding frame for holding the first lens unit;
a first driving source for supplying a motive force;
a transmission portion that engages with a part of the first driving source to thereby receive a transmission of the motive
force and transmits the received motive force to the first lens frame;
a second lens unit holding frame that is movable and holds the second lens unit; and
a contact portion that is provided on the second lens holding frame and comes into contact with the transmission portion to
displace the transmission portion, wherein the engagement between the transmission portion and the part of the first driving
source is released by the displacement of the transmission portion.
