with hydrogen in the presence of a noble metal catalyst supported on metallic support to produce 2-chloropentafluoropropene,
wherein said catalytic dechlorination is conducted under conditions effective to result in a 1,2,2-trichloro-1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropane
conversion of at least about 50% and a selectivity for 2-chloropentafluoropropene of at least about 70 mol. %.
