WHAT IS YOUR COMPLAINT?

Invention promotion services offered to be performed: Assess viability and marketability of invention by doing patent searches and market research. Find a customer to buy rights to manufacture it once patented.

Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: We have spent $16,000 + with Synergy and another $2,000 our own. For our money we have ended up with: concept illustrations; a few prototypes, a website only available through Synergy's website and a patent application (which will have to be rewritten and reapplied for). We worked with owner Jerry Oakes as well as and , both are relatives of his. It was Nathan we informed of the prior art. He supposedly checked on it and told us that company didn't have a patent and when we get ours we can charge them royalties. He even had the audacity to put their illustration (nothing are ours) from their website on ours. We promptly told him to take it off. He left it on for months. We later mentioned it to our patent attorney. He made it clear it would affect our application. We have asked for a refund for money spent on services by Synergy that was done when they knew of the prior art. They've refused.
