WHAT IS YOUR COMPLAINT?

Name of mass media invention promoter advertised in: Inventech 1-800#

Invention promotion services offered to be performed: A provisional search and portfolio

Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: A drawing of mine came up missing at Patent and Trademark Ins. First I had a drawing of a device that was patentable. It's unique design and what it was used for made the device patentable. It's unique design of sound made it patentable. They mailed me a packet in the mail. My drawing went in that packet and was mailed back to Patent and Trademark Institute of America. A couple of weeks went by and I receive a call. The gentlemen on the phone claimed he was from Patent and Trademark Inst. of America. He said he was looking at my paperwork and the idea was unique. He was wondering what I was doing when it was invented. I did reply and told him what I was doing. He said the information would be forwarded to my senior consultant whose name was redacted text. A payment method was worked out between the two of us. I sent him monthly payments of $75.00 for a lump sum of $575.00 and the whole time I was making payments I thought they were working on my project. After I got done paying them I needed the evidence of the work I had paid for. The reason I assumed they were working on it and they gave that assumption that it would be done when it was paid for was because they had the drawing to begin with. See when you call these places they give you a packet and the first thing they ask for is a picture of the invention when it is sent in to the office. So after I got it paid for a few months went by and was waiting for the work that they did it never came. I called Adam and asked what the problem was. He said they didn't know what the invention was and therefore they couldn't do anything. So then I faxed them another picture after a year went by of it being exposed. Then they began to work on it after it was done and mailed to me, which I still have. It was a portfolio and inside was a picture of a drawing I could have done myself.
The portfolio does not have my drawing inside. On the cover it is titled Hi Tech Hunter as invented by Kevin Robertson. The picture wasn't inside the portfolio, neither was a description of the product. There was proof of the search they have done in the portfolio but it never tells or describes the invention or what it does. No evidence that the drawing I have went to that portfolio, except the title. I have the date on the envelope or package that was mailed to me. The date on the original drawing was 10-16-01. The date on their package that was sent back to me was May 24, 2002. I contacted litman law firm and he said that the design is no good after a year of initial exposure.
