Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: Mr. Randal Wilson made false and exaggerated claims assuring us our invention would be successful. No disclosure was provided as required by the "Inventors Right Of 1999." Mr. Wilson was paid a total of 17,000. To date, Mr. Wilson has been unable to provide us with proof of any client/s product that the person has recouped the money paid to him nor made any profit. It is estimated Mr. Wilson has extorted 250,000 + from the clients he served just in the Raleigh/Durham NC area. Mr. Wilson is out of business. Mr. Randal Wilson, Mr. James Mercer, (Mr. Wilson's partner) made false and exaggerated claims that our invention would be successful. We were only given 20 minutes at each appointment to examine, analyze, and sign documentsas we were assured our product would be successful. Upon signing the final documents Mr. Wilson advised us he has a friend in Texas who would love to get a hold of our product. With this having been said our confidence was reinforced. At this point we knew we had 1 manufacturer who would take our idea and manufacture our product. Randy never mentioned his friend again. Still with all of the encouragement we received from Jim Mercer, we were lead to believe that at any cost to us we would be successful. After unsuccessfully finding a manufacturer we approached Mr. Wilson about his friend in Texas. Mr. Wilson's response was vague stating oh his friend knew someone else and so on, his attitude changed and said it was entirely up to us to make our product successful. The manufacture list Mr. Wilson provided was botched with typo errors, wrong ph numbers, incorrect punctuations, and incorrect salutations. Recently, we requested Mr. Wilson provide us with clients names whose products have been profitable. Mr. Wilson response was he did not have that information and was not required to have it. We paid Mr. Wilson $17,000 and incurred additional out of pocket expenses. All we got in return were false claims and a lot of papers that are meaningless. We request a full refund of $17,000 plus interest we have lost on our money. Signed: /s/ Torri L. Plemmons & Kathryn E. Sink Date: 1/16/2003 |
