As a Patent P~ttorney in the blotechnolo9y tield, I ~rould like
to suggest that the proposed new 37 C.F.R. 1 .53Xb} , spec~ring that
the requirements of i1.821 (eJ are not applicable to provisional
applications, be substantially arnended. Specifically, 87is should be
amended to specify that na requirements of 1.821-1.823 and 1.825

met by a pxvional applBcafon. The mere alimination of the requirement
