Public User’s Meeting
June 15, 2005
2:00 p.m. - Randolph Building Conference Center

The Public Users Meeting was held at 2:00 p.m. in the 1st floor conference room 1D04/1D14, Randolph Building on the USPTO campus at Carlyle in Alexandria, Virginia. Martha Sneed, OPIS Director, chaired the meeting. There were approximately 4 members of the public in attendance and 5 USPTO staff.

Announcements

• The South Tower building has been sold. The new owners take over June 14, 2005
• New versions of East and X-Search were deployed May 18th
• New Web Enhancements offering to replace USAMARK

Data Center Relocation Updates

• No relocation activity for the month of June
• PAIR, IFW will be down July 4, 2005
• TICRS, X-Search, TTAB will be down July 18, 2005
• UPWS will be down July 15-17, 2005
• MPEP will be down July 29-31, 2005

The USPTO website will be updated with any changes.

Public Search Facility Update

• The new manager, Diane Lewis, will arrive on June 27, 2005
• The PSF window will be open until 8:00 p.m., but will begin closing at 5:00 p.m. for the month of July
• Per John Hassett, the problem with file tracking for Trademark files has been fixed.

Office of Public Records Update

No concerns were raised.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15pm
