We have received many comments on the migration to XML of Weekly files for Trademarks, Assignments and Trademark Trial and Appeal Boards. As a result of the comments, we have re-evaluated the timeliness of the weekly files and the monthly reports. We are now working toward a daily XML file to be delivered through the Data File Delivery FTP system. Currently a comparison of the data provided on TARR and that of the Weekly files and Monthly reports is being done, with the goal of making a consolidated set of data available daily; therefore, removing the need for the Weekly text files and the Monthly Status file and the Monthly reports.

At this time, a new schedule is being developed. The schedule will include time for customer comments (2-months) on the revised XML, followed by Responses to comments (1-month), followed by (1-month) of finalizing the XML format. -- Time will be allotted for 6 months of parallel run. -- The schedule will commence as soon as all XML files are provided for Trademark Text Data, Assignment Text Data and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Text Data. The anticipated date for the revised files is September 3rd.
