2005MathML contains invalid line end characters in Red Book (Patent Grants and Patent Applications)
July 15, 2005 - Please reference the Red Book ICE Status Report dated July 1, 2005. Mathml "line end" characters and Mathml private use characters are "problematic" when converted to hexadecimal Unicode, especially when the conversion is based on the Mathml entity files. Effective with Red Book Patent Grant issue of August 16, 2005 and Red Book Application issue of August 18, 2005, in-line Mathml markup private use entities will retain their original entity form.
