Patents ASSIGN Subscriber Notice

2000 June Issue

We are pleased to announce that the 2000 June issue of Patents ASSIGN is the first issue to be published and distributed on DVD-ROM. Because of the rapid growth in the size of the data, Patents ASSIGN is the first searchable Cassis product to be published on DVD-ROM. In order to use this disc, you must have a DVD-ROM drive.

Although this issue is on DVD, it has been published with the current CD-Answer software. Installation procedures and use of the product have not changed. The next issue of Patents ASSIGN will be published with the new Cassis2 user interface and Dataware II software.

In order to fit the 1999 December issue on one CD-ROM disc, it was necessary to remove some of the searchable data from the Assignment Reel/Frame Number and Brief fields. This data has been partially restored with this issue and will be completely restored with the next issue.

The Cassis2 and DVD-ROM migration is being phased in product by product. The next issue of Patents BIB, 2000 June, will be published on DVD-ROM using the new Cassis2 interface.
