The
House That Innovation Built Provides Theme For New Exhibit
Celebrating National Inventors Month At Patent And Trademark
Museum
On Tuesday, August 11, 1998, in recognition of National
Inventors Month, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) unveiled a new
exhibit at its museum in Arlington, Virginia.
The exhibit, entitled "The House That
Innovation Built", pays tribute to the creativity of the people behind the many
inventions that are used in homes across the nation every day. Every product we use
is someone's intellectual property, protected by patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade
secrets. Some of the inventors and entrepreneurs are famous; unfortunately most are
not.
The House That Innovation Built guides visitors through a typical American home showcasing
not only the inventors and their inventions, but also many of the trademarks that identify
these household products and belongings that have changed the way we live.
"The House That Innovation Built"
is dedicated to the men and women whose innovations are at the heart of every home.
This exhibit thanks the many innovators who have changed the way we live and work.
It will be on display through the end of January 1999. Stop in and see it soon!
