The following guidelines and notices were issued subsequent to the publication of the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (6th ed., Rev. 1, October 2009), and will be incorporated in the next edition. Examination guides and rules changes issued prior to October 27, 2009 have been incorporated in and/or superseded by the 6th edition, Rev. 1.
