Via Data File Delivery (DFD) File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
Some downloadable products are available through a paid subscription to the USPTO's Data File Delivery (DFD) FTP service. Upon receipt of payment, the USPTO will provide Host Address, Port, User ID, and Password for accessing the Data File Delivery (DFD) System. See the current price list for cost and availability. Via Electronic Information Products/Sales Order Management System (EIPweb/SOMS) (HTTPS)
Many free data products are available for direct download from https://EIPweb.uspto.gov/SOMS. Read the Frequently Asked Questions at that location for easy-to-understand instructions on how to use the system - it is not necessary to establish an account to download free data files from the SOMS system.
