USPTO WEB SITE RANKED NUMBER ONE

PricewaterhouseCoopers rates USPTO Web site best for design and content

The Department of Commerce’s U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Web site (www.uspto.gov) has been ranked number one for its design and content offerings in “The State of Federal Websites: The Pursuit of Excellence,” a review of 148 federal Web sites by PricewaterhouseCoopers Endowment for the Business of Government.

The Web sites were rated on site services provided online, quality of help features, quality of service navigation, site legitimacy, and accessibility. The USPTO’s Web site rated highest in its total excellence scores in each of the categories.

The USPTO Web site ( www.uspto.gov ) was noted for its vast information content, its searchable databases and online filing systems. The Web site also scored high marks for its navigation systems.
