When I index an Amendment, how do I index the coversheet and subsequent correspondence?

Each document included in the Amendment transmittal must be indexed according to the appropriate document description in EFS-Web. A typical Amendment will include:

An Amendment transmittal document. This is the first document (i.e., coversheet) discussing the type of amendment being filed:


• Amendment after Final


• Amendment after Non-Final
  
• Amendment after Notice of Allowance (Rule 312)
  
• Preliminary Amendment

Application Parts (if they exist):


• Abstract
  
• Claims
  
• Drawings
  
• Specification

Arguments/Remarks:
