What is "PDX"
"PDX" stands for "Priority Document Exchange" which provides for the electronic transmission of priority documents to and from participating Intellectual Property Offices (if applicant files a request and an authorization) without payment of a fee. See 'Changes to Implement Priority Document Exchange Between Intellectual Property Offices', scheduled to publish in the Federal Register on January 16, 2007. Starting January 16, 2007, the participating Offices are United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and European Patent Office (EPO). In late summer 2007, the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) will also participate.
