What is a PKI Certificate ?


Public Key Infrastructure definition in new window digital certificate. Provides the customer secure access to patent applications and related data. Provides confidentiality, access control, integrity, authenticity and non-repudiation of data. The USPTO serves as the Certificate Authority and issues the digital certificates to our customers. It is required in order to use both Private PAIR and EFS.
