Subject: Public Comments re: AIPA and Sec. 103(c)

Regarding Section 103(c) as amended by the American Inventors Protection
Act, prior art under Section 102(e) will be excluded under Sec. 103(c)
provided the subject matter and the claimed invention were commonly owned
by the same person or organization, or subject to an obligation of
assignment to the same person or organization when the claimed invention
was made. What is the result if the subject matter and claimed invention
are jointly owned by two or more companies and subject to assignment to
both, i.e. are "person" and "organization" to be interpreted to include
joint ownership by multiple companies?

Thank you, Kent
