Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: I wish to tell you that on August 30, 2003 I gave a certified check in the amount of $9,695.00 to Mr. [ ] text in care of Patent Institute of America to pursue a patent of a tool that I have invented after years of work. After many stories that my tool would be showed at many shows that a company would or might give me $50,000 to promote my tool invention I received two letters from companies that were interested in my invention. After registered letters to the companies with no response, they don’t exist. After a long period of time with very little response I got a letter from the lawyer that my patent was rejected. The lawyer said don’t appeal, as it would take many years and lots of money. Lawyer said pay $890 for a patent design which is now in process # xx/xxx,xxx. After my daughter threatened PTI they sent the $890 to the lawyer. Lawyer’s name is [ ] text, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403. Patent Design is now pending. I am 89 years old and still hope to produce and sell my invention.
