The USPTO Data Center is moving to Alexandria, Virginia. This move will occur on weekends, beginning in April 2005 and ending 01 August 2005. During the move period, electronic business systems will be brought offline, backed up, relocated, and restored to operation. As these moves occur, selected systems will be temporarily unavailable or may not have all functionalities available for short periods of up to several days at a time.

Details of specific system outages will be posted on the eBiz alerts immediately prior to each actual move date. All system outages should start promptly at 6 PM ET on a Friday and end at 5:30 AM ET on the next scheduled business day - a Monday, or in case of holidays, a Tuesday. While every effort will be made to adhere to this schedule, unforeseen circumstances could result in longer move impacts or changes in move dates for some systems. Please plan your work accordingly.

The USPTO website itself (informational pages) will remain available without interruption during all scheduled eBusiness system outages.
