The USPTO Data Center is moving to Alexandria, Virginia. This move will occur on weekends, beginning 29 April 2005 and ending 01 August 2005. During the move period, electronic business systems will be brought offline, backed up, relocated, and restored to operation. As these moves occur, selected systems will be temporarily unavailable or may not have all functionalities available for short periods of up to several days at a time. Details of specific system outages will be posted on the eBiz alerts immediately prior to each actual move date. Below is an archive of expired eBiz Alerts issued regarding scheduled outages between 29 April 2005 to 01 August 2005. This archive will be retained through 01 August 2006.

7/1/2005 11:25 AM EDT: Due to the Data Center Relocation and Independence Day Holiday, the Public Search Facility in Alexandria will close at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2005 and reopen on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 8:00 AM. In addition, the following files may be unavailable on the Data File Delivery (DFD) FTP System until Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at noon:

5/26/2005 12:45 PM EDT: Due to the USPTO Data Center Relocation:

The Public Search Facility in Alexandria will close at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2005 and will reopen at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2005.

The following USPTO system will be unavailable from 6:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2005 through Monday, May 30, 2005 at 6:00 AM:

- The Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS) and Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS). Customers will be unable to submit Patent and Trademark Assignments electronically.

The following USPTO system will be unavailable from 5:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2005 through Monday, May 30, 2005 at 6:00 AM:

- The Order Entry Management System (OEMS). Customers will be unable to submit orders for Patent and Trademark documents.

The Public Search Facility in Alexandria will close at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2005 and will reopen at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2005.

- Assignments on the Web (AOTW) will be unavailable. Customers will be unable to search Patent and Trademark assignment data.

The following systems will be unavailable beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2005 through Monday, May 16, 2005 at 5:30 AM:
- The Order Entry Management System (OEMS). Customers will be unable to submit orders for Patent and Trademark documents.

The following systems may experience performance problems beginning at 9:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2005 through Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 12:00 PM:
- Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS) and Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS) may experience intermittent outages where customers are unable to submit assignments.
