New Fee Code Structure Effective October 1, 2002

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has restructured the fee codes used to process and record fee payments from 3-digits to 4-digits.  This change ensures flexibility to accommodate more fee codes as the USPTO offers an increasing number of products and services to our customers.

The new 4-digit fee codes are effective on October 1, 2002.

The fee schedule is available on our Web site at www.uspto.gov, and provides a crosswalk between the old 3-digit fee codes and the new 4-digit fee codes.
