Special Notice of Synopsis of Limited Competition DOC52PAPT1000001

Synopsis:

The United States Patent & Trademark Office has a requirement for Sign Language Interpretation Services beginning December 1, 2009.  The current contract will expire on November 30, 2009, and a new contract is sought for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. 

In accordance with the Patent & Trademark Acquisition Guidelines, USPTO has made a determination to invoke its exemption to the Federal Acquisition Regulation requirement for “Full and Open Competition” , and instead intends to utilize “Maximum Practicable Competition” in an effort to streamline the acquisition process.  USPTO has therefore identified five companies to receive this solicitation in an effort to effectually serve the performance goals for this particular acquisition.

Update:

The purpose of this update is to announce the award of Purchase Order DOC50PAPT1000001 to Deaf Access Solutions, a division of Bayfirst Solutions, LLC for Sign Language Interpretation Services.  The award contains a base year plus four-one year option periods.  Total contract value is $739,502.87.
