Notice Type: Combined Synopsis and Solicitation

This is an update to the synopsis posted on July 20, 2011, for Solicitation DOC52PAPT1100036. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Systems Development and Maintenance Group (SDMG), Patent Systems Division (PSD) desires to modernize its capabilities and has a requirement for software and maintenance support services utilized for polynucleotide and polypeotide searching sequences that are submitted with biotechnology patent applications.  This acquisition will be conducted as a full and open competition requirement with a period of performance of a 1-year base period and two 1-year option periods with contract award to a single vendor. The NAICS Code associated with this project is 541511 - Other Computer Related Services (size standard: $25M).
