Financial Highlights
The independent auditing firm of KPMG LLP issued an unqualified audit opinion on USPTO's FY 2003 financial statements, provided in the Financial and the Required Supplemental Information Sections of this report. This is the eleventh consecutive year the USPTO has received an unqualified audit opinion. The unqualified audit opinion provides independent assurance to the public that the information presented in USPTO's financial statements is accurate and reliable. Preparing these statements is part of the USPTO's goal to continually improve financial management.
